Overview

The award-winning Z·630 Multi-Room Controller allows independent access of up to six sources in three different zones. Up to four Z·630s can be linked together, providing a six-source by twelve-zone music distribution system.

Performance Features

With a single touch of the attractive in-wall keypad or full-color touch screen in the kitchen, turn on your favorite FM station. In the family room, one of the kids has just turned on their favorite CD the same way. In the master bath, your spouse is listening to beautiful music while taking a shower. With ELAN’s Z•Series you can select and control up to six different music sources independently in up to twelve different listening areas, called “zones”, at the same time. The music in each room of your house is heard over high-quality speakers that disappear seamlessly into the wall or ceiling; except of course in the library, where you chose the ELAN speakers that perfectly accentuate your custom built cherry bookcases.

Design Features

Built-in Music Detect circuitry conveys the On/Off status of each source to all keypads, allowing for intelligent power management of sources. Source and system status is displayed on all keypads and VIA!® Touch Panels in the system, providing user-friendly feedback for enhanced control. Zone-specific Bass, Treble, Loudness and Spatial Enhancement settings are stored in the Z·630’s non-volatile flash memory. The Do-Not-Disturb feature ensures that ELAN Page and Door Chime audio will be heard in a zone only if it’s desired.

The Z·630 also provides a Music-on-Hold output signal and a Page/Door Chime input interface to the Z·600 Communications Controller. The Z·630 will even “wake up” VIA! Touch Panels whenever the doorbell button is pressed or a page is initiated
